What is personal information?

Personal data means any information about you which is personally identifiable which include your name, age, address, telephone number, email address, financial details, and any other information from which you can be identified.

What personal information do we collect about you?

We collect the following information about you:

b) information that may include (but is not limited to) information relating to your financial circumstances (for example your pension values, income and existing investments);

Who we will share your personal information with

We may share your personal data with:

a) our reinsurers. In order to get you the most accurate product quotation we need to share information about you, including personal data and personal sensitive data, with our chosen reinsurer. The reinsurers that we share your personal information with, may also use your personal information (either alone or in conjunction with a third party) and may also pass your personal information to their group companies for the following purposes:

  • for market research and statistical purposes;
  • for gauging sales or product performance; and
  • for the prevention and detection of fraud;

Our reinsurers may also pass your personal information to their third party service providers to enable them to underwrite your product quotation. The reinsurers' third parties may reside outside of the European Economic Area ("EEA") and, if necessary, across international borders. The data protection laws in these countries may not be as extensive as in the EEA. These companies are required to process personal information about you in accordance with the Act.

b) other companies in the JRP group for the following purposes:

  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations;
  • for general administrative purposes, including the storage and backup of data;
  • for business and analysis purposes;

c) companies outside of the JRP group, if you were 'introduced' to us by a third party and/or have a relationship with one of our affinity partners (e.g., an independent financial adviser), we will give them your contact details and sufficient information about you to help with their accounting and administration.

IP Address and Cookies

When you visit our Site we may automatically collect additional information about you such as the type of internet browser or mobile device you use, any Site from which you have come to the Site and your IP address (the unique address which identifies your device on the internet) and your operating system, which are automatically recognised by our web server.
